Youth

Grand Central Stations (ages 3 - grade 4)

First Central's unique and exciting church school is Grand Central Stations. This school is for age 3 through grade 3. We meet at 10:45 a.m. after the Conversation With the Children (in worship).   All Stations are on the lower level. Come by and take a look!


Drama Station:

This station features drama, puppets, videos, and films.

Discovery Station:

This station is located across the hall from the Drama Station. The Discovery Station features computers, games to sharpen our Bible skills and knowledge, books, maps, and learning activities.

Art Station:

This station is located two rooms east of the nursery. The Art Station features a variety of art projects and activities to enhance children's knowledge of the stories.

Music Station:

This station is next to the nursery. The Music Station features singing, dancing, stories, and playing musical instruments.

Elevated Track (grades 4-6)

This class for students grades 4-6 meets in the Media Room on the lower level at 10:45 a.m. during the school year.  Topics vary, but generally follow the same Scripture being taught in the Stations.  Marian Fey and Chris Steffen teach this class of bright, inquisitive scholars.

First YOUth Forum (grades 7-12)

This group is for 7th – 12th graders. They meet on the second through fourth Sundays during the school year at 11:30 a.m. in the YOUth Room on the third floor for lunch, discussion, and debate.  The group explores current issues facing teens from a faith-based perspective.  Led by Scott Hoyt.   Twice a month, the group stays after the discussion for a variety of social, service, or fun activities.  See The Congregationalist for upcoming events.
