Our Church
We are thankful for life, for Jesus our Lord, for the courage and vision of our church founders. In gratitude, we covenant with God and with one another, seeking as a church and as individuals to be faithful to God's will. We pray for hearts that open, minds that understand, and lives that serve.
First Central has a busy Sunday morning schedule, with worship, ministry, and education opportunities for children and adults. We are an open and affirming church.
We are a member church of Connections, a coalition of progressive Christian congregations who together and separately:

We are also a part of the Nebraska Conference of The United Church of Christ. First Central Congregational Church is an inclusive faith community, cherishing diversity, social justice, and freedom of thought.
