Practicing Passion for Lent

Rev. Dr. E. Scott Jones
February 6 2018

Don’t you desire a life of enjoyment and meaning? Can the church be worthy of your passion?

The Gospel calls us to “wonder-producing, faith-provoking, life altering acts.”  So, for Lent we’ll be exploring the theme “Practicing Passion.”

Passion: “to undergo an experience, to be completely affected or overcome”

Our Lenten journey begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14 with a meal at 5:30 and the service to follow.

For our Sunday worship, we’ll be continuing in the Gospel of Mark as Jesus begins to share more about the mission that is worthy of our commitment and which ultimately leads to his death, also traditionally called his passion.
