In this time of fresh grief over the loss of Rev. Jim Harmon, may feelings may arise, not only about missing Jim but also about experience grief, old and new, over other losses.
This series of gatherings will provide space for us to share & process our grief with members of our community in a supportive setting facilitated by Pastor Sarah.
These sessions will build on one another, but you need not attend them all; you may come to any that suit your schedule.
August 17 - Remembering Jim: Grieving Change at First Central
August 24 - All That We Have Lost: Grieving family members, pets, friends, and others we have loved
August 31 - How Do We Go On: Discussing living with the tenderness of grief, allowing it to grant us access to deeper joy within ourselves
Adult Ed - Reducing Cancer in Nebraska
First Central’s Briana Golden will provide an overview of Nebraska’s cancer rates (which are higher than the national average), what might be putting our state in that category, and what we can do as individuals to protect our communities, friends, families, and ourselves.
