First Central offers a wide range of ways to put your unique gifts and passions into action—serving both our community and our church. If you’re exploring where you might feel most at home, our Matching Members to Ministry team is here to help. Together, we’ll help you discover your strengths and connect you with meaningful opportunities to make an impact.

  • The Congregational Care Ministry assists in caring for and visiting the poor, the sick, the sorrowing, and in ministering to the pastoral needs of the congregation

  • The Congregational Outreach Ministry coordinates the church’s work involving the wider community outside the congregation. Their efforts include missions, community services, benevolence, justice and witness advocacy, and evangelism.

  • The Education Ministry works in collaboration with the Director of Education to supervise education programs and initiatives for the congregation.

  • Ministry Support is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that allows other ministries to carry out their missions. Their areas of oversight include church property, finances, information technology resources, and facility use

  • Working with the Senior Minister and the Minister of Music, the Worship Ministry provides for all aspects of the worship life of the congregation.
